- **Event Name**: USS The Sullivans St. Patrick's Day Celebration
- **Event Start and End Date**: Tue, 10 Mar, 2026 at 05:00 pm – Tue, 10 Mar, 2026 at 08:00 pm
- **Event Description**: Celebrate an early St. Patrick's Day at the Buffalo Naval Park and support one of Buffalo's most iconic ships.

Step aboard USS The Sullivans for a spirited evening that blends great food, good company, and a one of a kind setting. Since World War II, the ship has proudly displayed shamrocks in honor of the Irish heritage of the five Sullivan brothers. For one night, that tradition takes center stage as the ship is dressed in green for a memorable waterfront celebration.

Your evening includes a classic corned beef and cabbage dinner, beer, wine, and soft drinks, all served in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Before and after dinner, guests are invited to explore the ship at their own pace, join guided tours, and try their luck in raffles throughout the evening.

As you move through the ship, our staff and volunteer docents will share stories about the Sullivan brothers, the ship’s remarkable service history, and the ongoing preservation work underway to ensure USS The Sullivans remains part of Buffalo’s waterfront for generations to come.

5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Dinner, reception, and open house style tours of USS The Sullivans

7:15 PM: Short program and preservation update

Tours will run continuously between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, allowing guests to dine, mingle, and explore at their own pace. Some areas of the ship remain closed due to active preservation and maintenance work, but staff and docents will be stationed throughout the ship to answer questions and provide behind the scenes insight into the restoration effort.

USS The Sullivans DD-537 served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War and is a National Historic Landmark. Named for the five Sullivan brothers who were lost together aboard USS Juneau in November 1942, the ship stands as both a symbol of sacrifice and a living piece of American history.

This is not just a dinner. It’s a night out, a tradition, and a chance to support the preservation of a ship that means so much to Buffalo. Come hungry, wear a little green, and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day aboard USS The Sullivans.
