Hi Friends! Since the annual Ted Reinhardt Drum Days at Old Man River has come to an end, we (The Dooleys and friends) will attempt to keep the Ted Reinhardt and Bruce Brucato Memorial Scholarship going by performing an annual benefit concert.
Ted/Bruce 1 will take place at The CAVE (on Sportsmen's Complex) on Sunday, March 22. The concert will be an afternoon matinee starting at 4 pm and we are inviting family, friends and fans of Ted and Bruce to join us and share some stories about these Buffalo music legends in between sets.
Paul Weisenburger and two of his kids, Claire and Stephen will get the ball rolling with an acoustic set followed by Ted's long-time buddies The Dooleys (Paul Swisher, Greg Opalinski, Mark Monaco, Steve Cotten, Paul Weisenburger and Robin Grandin). The celebration will end with a set from the Wail Dogs featuring Dave Schmeidler, Bill Ludwig, Bob Accurso and Bob Price. Dave and Bob were members of Gamalon at one time and Bob also played with Ted in the Maelstro Percussion Ensemble. Bill was an original member of Rodan with Ted and Bruce and also played with Bruce in Backhand.
Our goal is to raise a modest sum of $1,000 at the event from a $10 admission fee and a 50/50 raffle. The first 100 people through the door will receive MPP's 2015 triple vinyl album (with digital download), "Life And Death In Pandora's Box" featuring Ted and Tom Reinhardt, George Puleo, David Kane, Paul Swisher and Greg Opalinski. Mark your calendars and join the fun! There may even be a special guest or two!
