- **Event Description**: Join us for a fun and exciting afternoon of music that brings us home! BCO opens the concert with the entire Peer Gynt Suite. This piece tells the story of Peer Gynt, a Norwegian folk hero, through the music composed by Edvard Grieg for Henrik Ibsen’s play Peer Gynt. This story tells of the downfall and subsequent redemption of a Norwegian peasant anti-hero.

BCO will close the concert with the premiere performance of "A Paddler’s Symphony" by BCO’s own Sarah Kremer! Inspired by a love of nature, the outdoors and water, this is piece will take you on a journey, features a blue grass group, and is sure to be a crowd favorite!

This concert will also feature narration from MN author and wilderness guide Doug Wood! He will be reading from his book "Paddle Whispers" which has been inspirational in the creation of this symphony!

3:00pm in the choir room: Join us for a conductor, composer, Doug Wood chat to learn more about the pieces on the program as well as some northwoods inspiration
