Through our Plastic Free July campaign and partnerships with organizations like the Western New York Environmental Alliance, we're creating space for our community to learn together, ask questions, and explore solutions to challenges that affect us all.Following the screening in the Hertel Cafe, we will continue with a facilitated, informal, and respectful community discussion led by conservation professionals John Whitney and Jay Burney. Together, we'll discuss the film, share perspectives, explore local impacts, and learn more about what Lexington Co-op has been doing behind the scenes to help address the plastic problem.Discussion FacilitatorsJay Burney is a longtime conservationist, educator, writer, and community advocate whose work has helped advance environmental stewardship and habitat protection throughout Western New York. He is Executive Director of the Pollinator Conservation Association and has helped lead numerous regional conservation initiatives.John Whitney is a retired USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service District Conservationist with nearly 40 years of experience in conservation, agriculture, and land stewardship.
