Learning to Love Your Overlocker –

Fabulous Flatlock Extension One



Takeaway from the class:



The first extension to the Learning to Love Your Overlocker course covers flatlocking and ladder stitch in depth.

The additional pages cover wide and narrow flat locking and various decorative applications, including ribbon work, decorative thread, beading, lace insertion and creating a blind hem stitch.



The second part of the course is constructing a notebook cover using some of the techniques covered in the course.

All fabrics provided to complete the workbook and project.





Requirements List

Students must have already completed the first Learning to Love Your Overlocker course.

Foot control



Overlocker tools i.e. screwdrivers, tweezers etc



Instruction Manual



Spare needles – the correct system for your machine



Scissors and rotary cutter



Fabric clips or pins



4 x spools of black overlocking thread



1 spool of grey thread

Class Room Requirements







Cutting mat and ruler for squaring up project



Iron and ironing board



Skill Level:



You must complete a Love your Overlocker workshop to participate in either the Flat Lock or Cover Stitch workshops.



Duration: 5.5 hours, in-person class
