We're back for another season!! And we're starting strong. Come join us in Budgewoi for a brand new map. Sitting between Budgewoi Lake & Lake Munmorah you're getting all the coast features early - beach, lake, parks, an entire island, streets and a little touch of bush. ⛵🏖️🌳🛝
There will also be a Learn-to-orienteer program as part of the day. Further details for this will be released a little bit closer to the event.
📍Where: Mackenzie Reserve, Budgewoi
⏰When: Start anytime between 9:00am - 10:30am. Course closes 11:30am
🚩Format: There are 30 checkpoints on the map.
Numbers 1-10 are worth 10 points
Numbers 11-20 are worth 20 points
Numbers 21-30 are worth 30 points.
⏱️ You have 45 minutes to get to as many of them as you can, in any order.
👧Mini Course: A FREE, traffic-safe mini course is also available (Kid Friendly).
🏃♀️You can run, jog or walk; individually, or in a small group; it's your choice.
💲Entry Fees:
First-timers are FREE - please add the "first timer discount" service when entering.
Members (of any orienteering club) -
Adults $10.
Juniors: $5.
Non-members/Casuals: $15
👭 Please note that entering as a group is possible online. One member of the group should enter the "Group" class and pay; others should enter the "Extra group member" class, which is free.
🔰 First-timers are most welcome, experienced orienteers will be available to provide instructions.
🙋♀️ Pre-entry online is strongly encouraged, but if you have difficulty with the process, you can still turn up and enter on the day. Cash only.
