? Gondoltál már arra, hogy létezik egy egyetemes mozgás, amely áthatja a mikro- és a makrokozmosz egészét? Ha figyelünk, láthatjuk: minden folyamatos forgásban van bennünk és körülöttünk. A protonok és neutronok az atommag körül kerengenek, a bolygók a nap körül, a galaxisok spirális pályákon mozognak. Amikor tudatosan kapcsolódunk ehhez az ősi mozgáshoz, egy egészen különleges, mélyen harmonizáló és misztikus tapasztalás részesei lehetünk.

? Szeretettel hívunk, hogy lépj bele az egyetemes alapritmusba a szúfi kerengésen keresztül, abba a szívnyitó spirituális gyakorlatba, amely a szúfi misztikus és költő, Jalaluddin Rúmi tanításai nyomán vált ismertté.

? A workshop során a szúfik szakrális táncán (kerengés), az élőzenén és a költészeten keresztül kapcsolódunk a szív békét hozó bölcsességéhez és a szeretet gyógyító minőségéhez. A mozgás, a dallamok és a költészet egysége olyan belső teret nyit meg, ahol kiléphetünk a megszokott gondolati mintákból, és visszatalálhatunk önvalónk középpontjába, a jelenlét kiteljesítő minőségébe.
Az elme elcsendesedésén keresztül figyelmünk a szív pulzáló csendjére irányul, ahol a két minőség összehangolódása belső békét, koherenciát, harmóniát és felszabadultságot hoz létre. Ebben a térben a félelmek feloldódnak, a tudat kitágul, és betekintést nyerhetünk az én-nélküli állapot eksztatikus örömébe és szépségébe. 

? A kerengés neve törökül Szema (Sema), perzsául és arabul Szama (Sama'), jelentése: hallgatás, befele figyelés és emlékezés. A szúfi hagyományban ez az emberi lélek misztikus utazását jelképezi az Egység, az isteni felé.  Ez a mozgásmeditáció egy mély imaforma, amely arra hív, hogy szívünket megnyitva, teljes figyelmünkkel az isteni Szeretet (‘Ishq) és Igazság (Haq) felé forduljunk.

?A szúfi kerengés egy emlékezés-gyakorlat: egy tapasztalati út, amely túlmutat az elméleten, és a testen keresztül teremt kapcsolatot a mozgás és a csend,  a szív és az elme, a látható és a láthatatlan dimenziók között. 

? A workshop során biztonságos, megtartó és szeretetteljes légkört hozunk létre, ahol közösségben, egymást támogatva léphetünk be a kerengés misztériumába.

Ez a műhely mindenki számára nyitott, akit érdekel a szúfizmus, a kerengés, és aki szeretne mélyebb betekintést nyerni a Szema filozófiájába és szimbolikájába. Előzetes tapasztalat nem szükséges, csak nyitottság és kíváncsiság. :)

Mit hozz magaddal?

Előkészületek:
Kérünk a foglalkozás előtt legalább 2 órával már nehéz ételt ne egyél. Lehetőleg aznap fogyassz könnyű ételeket, és igyál sok vizet. Hangolódj rá előre a műhelyre, ha van kedvenc Rúmi-versed, írd meg kommentben, és hozd magaddal!

Sacred Sufi Dance - Introduction to the Mystery of Whirling

Have you ever considered that there is a universal movement permeating both the microcosm and the macrocosm? If we pay attention, we can see that everything is in constant rotation within us and around us. Protons and neutrons orbit the atomic nucleus, planets revolve around the sun, and galaxies move along spiral paths. When we consciously attune to this ancient movement, we may enter a deeply harmonizing and profoundly mysterious experience.

We warmly invite you to step into this universal rhythm through Sufi whirling — a heart-opening spiritual practice that became widely known through the teachings of the Sufi mystic and poet Jalaluddin Rumi.
During the workshop, we connect to the heart’s peace-bringing wisdom and the healing quality of love through the Sufis’ sacred dance (whirling), live music, and poetry. The unity of movement, melody, and spoken word opens an inner space where we can step out of habitual thought patterns and return to our center — into the expansive, nourishing silence of presence.
As the mind grows quiet, attention naturally turns toward the heart’s subtle, pulsating stillness. When these two qualities come into harmony, a sense of inner coherence, balance, freedom, and peace emerges. In this space, fears soften, awareness expands, and we may glimpse the ecstatic beauty and joy of a state beyond the sense of a separate self.

The practice of whirling is called Sema in Turkish and Sama in Persian and Arabic, meaning listening and remembrance. In the Sufi tradition, it symbolizes the soul’s mystical journey toward unity with the Divine. This form of movement meditation is a deep prayer in motion, inviting us to open the heart and turn our full attention toward divine Love (‘Ishq) and Truth (Haq).

Sufi whirling is a practice of remembrance — an experiential path that goes beyond conceptual understanding. Through the body, it weaves together movement and stillness, attention and sensation, heart and mind, and the visible and invisible dimensions of existence.

Throughout the workshop, we create a safe, supportive, and loving atmosphere where, held by community, we can gently enter the mystery of whirling together. No prior experience is required — only openness and curiosity.

This workshop is open to everyone who feels drawn to Sufism and whirling, and to those who wish to gain deeper insight into the philosophy and symbolism of Sema.

What to bring
~ Comfortable clothing (long, flowing skirts are welcome)
~ Socks or flat, soft-soled shoes suitable for turning

~ A scarf or sweater for seated meditation
~ And most importantly: an open, compassionate heart

Preparation
Please avoid heavy meals at least 2 hours before the workshop. Eat light foods during the day and drink plenty of water.
