Tavalyi multidiszciplináris projektjük a klímaváltozásra reflektált, idén pedig egy virtuális operával rukkolnak elő Az átváltozás címmel, Kafka nyomán. Izgalmas koncertjük a középkortól napjainkig mutat be zeneszerzőnőket, magyarországi bemutatóként a szerteágazó munkásságú szerb-amerikai Aleksandra Vrebalov új művével megkoronázva a programot, de a változatosság jegyében nem maradhat el Gershwin és a Beatles zenéje sem.

Whatever the young Portuguese musicians of the Maat Saxophone Quartet, founded in Amsterdam, play – from fado to new music – there is no mistaking the individuality of their performances. Having triumphed at the top musical competitions in Portugal and Holland, among other places, the band has released two albums, the first of which critics referred to as: “promising, devilishly good, and heavenly contagious.” While their multidisciplinary project from last year reflected on climate change, this year they return in the spirit of Kafka with a virtual opera entitled Metamorphosis. Their exciting concert presents composers from the middle ages to the present day with a Hungarian première from the multifariously creative Serbian-American Aleksandra Vrebalov the crowning glory, but we could not do without Gershwin and The Beatles in our search for true diversity.
