# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Rescue the Green: Plants and Compost before Winter
- **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 14 Oct, 2026 at 05:00 pm – Wed, 14 Oct, 2026 at 06:30 pm (+02:00)
- **Event Description**: Join us for a hands-on community afternoon dedicated to rescuing and preparing our plants for the colder months, and learning what we can do with all the organic material left behind.

Together, we’ll take care of the plants around Dankó, identify which ones can be saved or moved indoors, clean them up, repot them where needed, and help give them the best chance of making it through the winter 💚

And what about the leaves, old plant material, and kitchen scraps we don’t need? Instead of throwing them away, let’s turn them into something useful! ♻️

We’ll also explore the basics of composting: what can and cannot be composted, how compost works, and how our food and garden waste can become valuable nutrients for future plants.♻️

Expect some gardening, a little dirt on your hands, practical learning, and a nice afternoon spent together outdoors. No gardening or composting experience is needed!

Come in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

"description": "A mira! közösség az Artemisszió Alapítvány kezdeményezésére jött létre. Ennek a vidám, színes, örömökkel teli közösségnek szeretnénk teret adni.\n\n///\n\nThe mira! community is an initiative of the Artemisszió Foundation. \n\nArtemisszió has been engaged for many years in helping the social inclusion of migrants, refugees and youth coming from disadvantaged backgrounds. \n\nMigrants and refugees belong to our society. Supporting their social integration is of elementary importance for everybody. By social integration we mean financial independence as well as living in harmony with oneself and with one’s environment. We all know that people who feel that they are in the right place can be more creative, productive and can give more to the community.\n\n We think that if we want to live in a strong, supportive community which is proud of its diversity, we need to create such a community. \n\nArtemisszió has been doing community building for a long time, our goal now is to open up the community even more and make it more colourful, providing more people with the opportunity of participation. For this reason we would like to create a space – for this colourful, exciting and joyful community, which is mira!\n\n\nCOLOUR YOUR MIND, COLOUR YOUR WORLD. "
