# Event Details

- **Event Name**: New Jazz from Finland | Timo Lassy Trio (FI)
- **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 30 Oct, 2026 at 08:00 pm (+01:00)
- **Event Description**: A finn szaxofonos, Timo Lassy tevékenységének fókuszában jelenleg az egyszerű hangszer-összeállítással, de annál hevesebb kifejezőerővel alkotó Timo Lassy Trio áll. Munkájuk alapját a három zenész közötti dinamikus összjáték és zenei kötelék adja. Debütáló albumuk 2021-ben jelent meg Trio címmel, amelyet 2025-ben, a We Jazz Records kiadásában a Live in Helsinki című élő lemezfelvétel követett.

Timo Lassy – tenorszaxofon
Ville Herrala – nagybőgő
Jaska Lukkarinen – dob

A koncert a Groupama és a Finnagora támogatásával valósul meg.

Jegyek 3900 forintos áron kaphatók a helyszínen, a bmc.jegy.hu oldalon, valamint az InterTicket országos Jegypont hálózatában.

Timo Lassy plays the saxophone like he means it. Listen to him, and you hear someone fully dedicated to his art, no matter what the context. Timo is the winner of the EMMA and Yrjö prizes in Finland for Jazz Album of the Year and Jazz Musician of the Year, respectively, and his work has been praised by taste-makers such as Gilles Peterson and DownBeat.

His current focus is the Timo Lassy Trio – a stripped-down yet fiercely expressive unit with bassist Ville Herrala and drummer Jaska Lukkarinen. The trio’s dynamic interplay and deep musical bond are at the core of both their 2021 studio debut Trio and the follow-up live recording Live in Helsinki, released via We Jazz Records in 2025.

Whether on stage or in the studio, the trio blends hard-grooving jazz, raw improvisation, and emotional depth, offering a sound that’s both rooted in tradition and boldly forward-looking. With sold-out shows and growing international acclaim, the Timo Lassy Trio proves that jazz played from the heart resonates everywhere.

Featuring:
Timo Lassy – tenor saxophone
Ville Herrala – double bass
Jaska Lukkarinen – drums

This concert is supported by Groupama and Finnagora.

Tickets are available for 3900 HUF on the spot, online at bmc.jegy.hu, and at InterTicket Jegypont partners across Hungary.
