Az Imago Mundi zenekar a kortárs zenész szempontjából értelmezi újjá a hagyományos román zenét.
Az 'Isvor/Forrás. Constantin Brâncuși' koncert egy rekonstrukciós kísérlet, amely a hangok és képek segítségével a nagy szobrászművész világát teremti újra a Gorj megyei pályakezdő évektől a párizsi beteljesülésig. Ennek szellemében a koncerten elhangzó műveket egyaránt megihlette az olténiai népzene, Maria Tănase művészete (aki nemcsak a román népzene egyik legfontosabb alakja, hanem Brâncuşi egyik nagy szerelme is volt), Erik Satie zenéje (a minimalizmus, a szürrealizmus, a repetitív zene és az abszurd színház előfutára, aki élénken érdeklődött a román népzene iránt, és aki a szobrászművész barátja is volt), és természetesen Brâncuşi olyan alkotásai, mint az Alvó múzsa, Madár a térben, A Föld bölcsessége, A hallgatás asztala, Végtelen oszlop.

A koncertet egy álló- és mozgóképes vetítés kíséri, amely egyrészt vizuálisan reflektál, másrészt díszlet-szerűen kiegészíti a brâncuşi-i szellemben fogant, és az életmű tiszteletére komponált zenét.

Imago Mundi ensemble proposes a reevaluation of traditional romanian music from the perspective of the contemporary musician.

The 'Isvor. Constantin Brâncuși' project is dedicated to greatest Romanian sculptor, from whom life and work is inspired; it’s a reconstruction – visually and musically – of Brâncuși’s world: from Gorj county, where he was born and spiritually formed, to Paris where he artistically and culturally evolved. Thus, the works that builds up the music programme are inspired by traditional music from Oltenia; Maria Tănase’s music (probably the most important voice for Romanian traditional music, but also one of the greatest loves of Brâncuși); Erik Satie’s music (french composer, precursor of minimalism, surrealism, repetitive music or „theatre de l’absurde”, interested in Romanian fiddlers music and good friend of Romanian sculptor); or, simply, compositions inspired by Constantin Brâncuși’s work: Sleeping Muse, Bird in Space, Wisdom of the Earth, The Table of Silence, The Endless Column.

The music programme is doubled by photo/video projections, a moving installation that visually comments (and scenographically completes) the sound universe imagined in spirit and honor of Brâncuși’s work.
