A Budapest FotóFesztivál szakmai koncepciójának és identitásának a kezdetektől fogva elengedhetetlen tartópillérét képezik a fiatal alkotók. A fesztivál egyik legfontosabb missziója, hogy évről évre teret engedjen a „fresh meat” energiáknak, és láthatóvá tegye a legújabb vizuális reflexiókat. Ez a kiállítás a BPF kiemelt eseményeként a kortárs magyar fotográfia legifjabb generációjának reprezentatív bemutatkozása, amely a 35 év alatti fotográfusok aktuális látásmódját sűríti egyetlen tárlatba.

A tematikailag kötetlen válogatás egyfajta látleletként szolgál: arra keresi a választ, hogy mi foglalkoztatja ma a pályakezdő alkotókat, és melyek azok a kérdésfelvetések, amelyek mentén sorozataik és portfólióik formálódnak. A kurátori szelekció során az eredetiséget és a nem konvencionális megközelítéseket részesítettük előnyben. A kiállított munkák közös nevezője a formabontó látásmód, legyen szó akár személyes narratívákról, akár komplex konceptuális stratégiákról.

From its inception, the Budapest Photo Festival has considered young artists to be an essential pillar of its professional concept and identity. A core mission of the festival is to consistently provide a platform for "fresh meat" energies and to amplify the latest visual reflections. As a highlighted event of the BPF, this exhibition serves as a representative showcase for the youngest generation of contemporary Hungarian photography, condensing the current perspectives of photographers under the age of 35 into a single show.
This thematically open selection functions as a visual diagnostic: it explores the subjects currently preoccupying emerging artists and the questions that shape their series and portfolios. Throughout the curatorial process, priority was given to originality and non-conventional approaches. The common thread among the exhibited works is a disruptive vision, manifesting in everything from personal narratives to complex conceptual strategies.
