Vajon egy szuperszonikus repülőgép pilótafülkéjében, vagy a Müpa szimbólumának számító grandiózus orgona játszóasztalán van több kapcsoló? Fassang László, a Müpa rezidens orgonistája, a párizsi Conservatoire tanára erre a kérdésre is megadja a választ, hiszen vezetésével megismerhetjük a 6804 síp, 92 regiszter és 5 manuál bonyolult struktúráját. A látványos vetítéssel, népszerű orgonaművekkel és virtuóz improvizációkkal kísért bemutatón a hangszer története és páratlan szerkezete is megelevenedik. A nézők a játszóasztal közelében, a színpadon foglalhatnak helyet, ahová Fassang a közönség bevonásával egy valóságos zenei játszóteret varázsol. Az interaktív, magyar nyelvű program végén senkiben sem marad kétely afelől, hogy miért is nevezik az orgonát a hangszerek királynőjének.

A Journey Through the Realm of the Pipes
Which contains more switches: the cockpit of a supersonic aeroplane or the console of the magnificent musical instrument that serves as the symbol of Müpa Budapest? Here to explain the complex structure of this device comprising 6804 pipes, 92 registers and five manuals will be László Fassang. Our resident organist, also a professor at the Conservatoire de Paris, will bring to life the history and unique structure of this instrument through a programme featuring some spectacular visuals, popular organ works and virtuoso improvisations. Seated on the stage near the console, participants will be able to take part in the magic of a true musical playground. This interactive Hungarian-language programme should leave no one in any doubt as to why the organ is called the ‘queen of the instruments’.
