A 3-part theoretical & practical workshop series

This series is about understanding the system we live and move in — so that we can train, recover and perform intelligently within it.

Not only learning exercises, but learning how to read what is happening in the body and how to respond to it.

We will work with structure, perception and training — and how they constantly influence each other.

This work is not only about longevity.
Efficiency and performance improve when the body is developed in a sustainable way.
Long-term thinking doesn’t reduce performance — it supports it, often even in the short term.

Understanding the architecture you are moving in

We begin with structure.

The body is not a stack of bones held together by muscles.
Instead, it behaves as a tensegrity structure — a dynamic balance of tension and compression distributed through fascia.

In this session we explore:

• What fascia really is
• Tensegrity as a new perspective on the body
• Fascial chains and tension lines (Thomas Myers – Anatomy Trains)
• How force and information travel through fascia
• Elastic energy storage
• The myofascial unit — muscle and fascia working as one

Through guided somatic exploration we experience:

• Global connectivity instead of isolated effort
• Suspension vs collapse
• Structural support vs muscular gripping

This session builds the map.
The next two sessions explore how to sense and work within it.

Understanding what I am feeling — and how to work with it

This session focuses on the nervous system, perception, connective tissue response and self-treatment.

Pain is a messenger.
Not all messengers bring the same message.
Learning to differentiate between them is part of body literacy.

We explore:

• How sensation becomes pain
• The relationship between tissue state and pain perception
• Different qualities of pain and what they might signal (protection, overload, refinement…)
• The evolving communication between tissue and brain
• Sensorimotor development — refining how we feel and interpret signals

We also look beyond pain, into sensation in general —
a continuous communication between nervous system and tissue.

The practical part focuses on influencing tissue state beyond movement:

• Rolling and pressure techniques
• Different qualities of touch as different nervous system inputs
• Down-regulation and activation
• Rehydration and connective tissue stimulation
• Learning to read tissue feedback

We will use smooth-surface rollers and balls.
If you don’t have tools, contact me — I will bring some, but availability is limited.

We practice reading the information coming from the body and learning when and how to intervene.

How do I train intelligently within this system?

In the final session we integrate fascia, nervous system and performance.

When we influence tissue, we influence the nervous system —
and when the nervous system adapts, tissue behavior changes.

We explore how strength and range of motion relate rather than compete,
and how different training approaches affect both.

Topics include:

• Strength and mobility as connected capacities
• Different types of loading and stretching and when to use them
• Mobility vs laxity (range with control vs passive looseness)
• Intensity, frequency and volume — what actually creates adaptation
• Choosing the right stimulus for the right moment

Practically we will explore:

• What different loading and stretching strategies do to tissue
• What they do to the nervous system
• When something builds capacity
• When something creates instability or rigidity
• How to rethink and refine your existing training

Not just more strength or more range — but clearer decisions in the body.

???? ?????? ?? ??? ??? ??

• you want to keep dancing long-term while improving performance
• you are navigating overload or recurring discomfort
• you are curious about fascia and connective tissue
• you want understanding, not only exercises
• you want to be able to adapt your own training

Each session is theoretical and practical.
We move, test, experience and reflect.

The aim is not to memorize exercises,
but to understand enough to adjust — and even create — your own practice.

???????? ????

Dance has been one of the central organizing forces in my life.

Even when I stepped away from dance, it returned with clarity.
At some point I understood it is not simply something I enjoy practicing.
It is something around which my experience organizes itself.

Through practicing dance I meet myself and others — in the forms of touch, performing and teaching.
It is a physical experience, very physical, yet it also reaches beyond the purely material.

Even in the most uncertain periods of life, it behaves like an inner axis — something that holds without force and allows other tensions to reorganize around it.

I know dance will always exist in some form in my life.
But the quality of that relationship depends greatly on the state of the body.

Part of the joy of dancing comes from what the body is capable of — including moments of performance where the body functions with clarity and ease.

My encounters with pain and limitation started relatively early.
They led me to study prevention, rehabilitation, movement and manual therapies alongside my dance practice.

It is a relationship between me, my body and my dancing.
Like any relationship, it needs time, attention and care so it can keep evolving.

This work grew from a personal desire and gradually became something I could share.
