Ezúttal Kerényi Róbert és a Szigony zenekar keretezi az estét moldvai és gyimesi táncházzal, de a Sarjú Banda még mindig ifjú zenészei szintén tapasztalt táncházasok. Saját népi ihletésű zenéjét, valamint harmincévnyi közös munkájuk és improvizációik gyűjteményét mutatja be Fábri Géza és Szokolay Dongó Balázs, utóbbi ráadásul a Corpus Harsona Kvartett-tel közös produkciójában a szokatlan hangszerpárosítások és zenei megoldások erejéről is tanúbizonyságot tesz. A kelet-európai életérzést népzenével keverő Cimbaliband ritkán hallható, Herczku Ágnessel közös Díva-műsorával érkezik. Izgalmas zenei csemegét ígér Bognár Szilvia, Magyar Bori és Szalóki Ági új trió-produkciója, amely az együtt éneklés örömét, erejét sugározza. A Básits Brankával és Eredics Dáviddal kibővült, Tóth Bagi Csaba gitáros-énekes vezette Balkan Union pedig új lemezét mutatja be a gálán.

Every year since 2008, this festive gala of Hungarian folk and world music has filled Müpa Budapest to bursting. On this occasion, the evening will be framed by the Moldavian and Gyimes dance house music of Róbert Kerényi and the Szigony Band, while the still-youthful musicians of the Sarjú Band are also experienced dance house performers. Géza Fábri and Balázs “Dongó” Szokolay will present their folk-inspired music, the result of 30 years of collaboration and improvisation. Szokolay will also be joined on stage by the Corpus Trombone Quartet, proving the power of folk music even when rendered through instuments not typically associated with the genre. Cimbaliband, which blends Eastern European vibes with folk music, arrives with its rarely heard Diva program featuring Ágnes Herczku. The new threesome of Szilvia Bognár, Bori Magyar, and Ági Szalóki also promises an exciting musical treat, one that radiates the joy and power of singing together. Balkan Union, led by guitarist-singer Csaba Tóth Bagi and expanded to include Branka Básits and Dávid Eredics, will present their new album at the gala.
