- **Event Name**: Corpal's Annual Family Conference 2026
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 11 Jul, 2026 at 10:00 am

Speakers

Dr Lynn Paul - Senior Research Scientist, California Institute of Technology

Lynn is one of the world’s leading experts on Disorders of the Corpus Callosum and has spent decades researching the condition. She will discuss the latest research into DCC, what we have learned about outcomes across the lifespan, and what future developments may mean for individuals and families affected by the condition.

Simon Airey - Neuroaffirming Consultant & Specialist Teacher

With over 25 years of classroom experience, Simon brings a unique dual perspective to inclusive education. As an autistic teacher currently teaching four days a week, his consultancy is rooted in the lived reality of modern UK schools. Through Neuroaffirming with Simon, he bridges the gap between neurodivergent theory and practical staffroom application.

Simon specialises in transforming school environments and policies into spaces where neurodivergent children and staff don’t just survive, but thrive, providing strategies that are tested, realistic and deeply rooted in lived experience.

Maree Maxfield - AusDoCC

Maree is a leading member of the Australian Disorders of the Corpus Callosum organisation, AusDoCC. She has published research exploring the lived experiences of adults with DCC and will share valuable insights into adult outcomes, independence, relationships, employment and quality of life.

Lewis Rose - Tour Guide and Heritage Expert

Diagnosed with Partial Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum 26 years ago, Lewis is an accredited Tour Guide and Heritage Expert with over 10 years of experience in the heritage sector. He is now an advocate for his local neurodivergent community and will share his personal journey from diagnosis through education and employment to becoming a successful heritage professional.

Cait Bridgman - Researcher, University College London

Cait will present her research into neuropsychological profiles in ACC and provide an overview of an exciting new study involving children and young people affected by the condition.

Pete Jones - Chair, Corpal

Pete will provide an update on Corpal’s activities, achievements and plans for the future.
