We will explore the different techniques and look at layering your blocks, You will learn how to get the inking and the pressure just right and then combine your own choice of colour and motifs to create your own unique pattern design.You will first print your design onto paper and then you will print your design onto a cotton linen blend fabric and then assemble hour lampshade.Clodagh is a block printer and the founder of CG Blockprinting. Inspired by seasonal flowers and the natural landscape, she creates hand printed textiles using traditional wooden printing blocks and rich pigments. Her work celebrates slow craft, thoughtful colour and the beauty of handmade piece for the home.All materials and tools are included in the workshop. We ask that you bring an apron and wear old clothes. There is free parking on site and refreshments will be served on arrival.
