I’m thinking identification, habitats, food chains...with a little connection and empathy for our creepy crawly population thrown in. Who are our helpful little friends, what do they do, where do they live? 
I’m still plotting and planning, however my thoughts so far are to encourage the children in identifying mini beasts, counting them, recording them and visually presenting their findings. We will investigate micro habitats and food chains and discuss what would happen if these micro habitats, or in fact mini beasts, didn’t exist. Three weeks of fun, creativity and lots of learning.
