Hello friends! South Devon Storytellers are pleased to announce a brand new series of events to kick off 2026….


Join us for a storytelling journey exploring traditional tales of Weird Britain coming to Buckfastleigh 2026. 

We live in a landscape of ancient stone, magic waterways and wild woods. With giants and dragons, good knights and bad neighbours, kings and conquerers, magicians and ancient Gods! These are living lands full of stories.
Welcome to Weird Britain. 

South Devon Storytellers are moving from our long held home in Totnes to The Moor Imagination Centre, Buckfastleigh. Join us in the MIC cafe on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 7:30-9:30pm for chance to fall in love with Albion all over again…


Format of the evening:
We’ll begin with a 45 minute tale exploring the theme ‘Weird Britain’. 
Open mic spots (10 mins) will follow the longer story with an optional theme - see below:

7:30-9:30pm MIC Cafe
Aimed at adults (14+)

South Devon Storytellers are an informal group of story lovers who tell tales in the oral storytelling tradition. We do not ‘read’ tales… we champion Outspoken Stand-up Storytelling.
