In a world that is ever changing, teachers face the challenge of enabling their students with the right skills that will bring a fulfilling life.

NICULESCU Publishing House is celebrating 10 years as OUP official distributor and invites you to discover new coursebooks and training programs for teachers that could help you make your teaching a more fulfilling activity and inspire your students towards a fulfilling life.

Oxford University Press has developed new coursebooks that can be used as learning tools to develop the most important skills for success: Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity.

During the conference, we are going to look into some of these coursebooks and test them “at work”.

Our partner, International House Bucharest, is pleased to announce their CELTA training course for teachers and we invite you to be part of it.

Ushapa Fortescue - Certified Trainer, Oxford University Press

Ushapa is a Graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, has a CELTA, a Teacher Training certificate for the Post 16 sector and is a certified trainer for the Oxford Teacher’s Academy courses.

With over 13 years of varied teaching experience both in the UK and abroad.
The combination of qualifications means that in the UK she has taught in statuary primary and secondary schools, post 16 adult education, private language schools, Further Education colleges and UK Universities.
The students range from very young learners to teenagers and young adults. From general adult classes up to exam classes and Pre University classes up to Post Graduate classes.

She has worked in many European countries and India and has provided teacher training in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Croatia, Lativa, Russia, Egypt, Vietnam and China.
This has included leading teacher training workshops, presentations and speaking at conferences.

She is also a certified and experienced deliverer of the Oxford Teacher’s Academy courses.

Ushapa loves engaging and encouraging teachers so they can pass on a love of language learning to their students.

Elena Amzaru - Account Manager of the OUP Department, NICULESCU Publishing House

Elena is a TEFL certified teacher and authorized trainer and started her teaching experience in 2001.

She has taught English language in both state schools and private schools such as “Hristo Botev” Highscool, “Pia Bratianu” School, Lexis, Ministry of Interior and Administration, Echo School of Languages and Genesis Collegiate.

She is also trained in Coaching, Mentoring, Cambridge Examinations, Sales Management and PR and Communication.

Roxandra Dagău - Manager and English Teacher, Magic English

Roxandra is a Graduate of Herriot Watt University from Scotland, UK as well as Umeå University from Sweden. She has got a Trainer diploma over 14 years ago and since, she held and organized trainings especially with students and adults.

Teaching English Language experience varies from small kindergarten kids to pupils and high school students, especially in the private sector, and occasionally in the state system. Part of an international brand, Helen Doron English, for more than six years, provided her the knowledge on holistic teaching and a creative way to teach English Language as a native one.

The working experience was accumulated in many parts of Europe as well as North America and India. At the moment she is an English Learning Centre teacher and manager at Magic English, and uses the latest materials from Oxford University Press for children between 2 and 15 years old.

Raluca Ambro - English Teacher, Magic English

Raluca is a Graduate of Babeș Bolyai University with a degree in English and Japanese.

She is a current teacher at Magic English, and teaches English for children between 2 and 15 years old.

She bases her lessons on creative, interactive and intelligent activities that encourage the children to learn English language as a native one.

Participation is Free of charges.

All participants are going to receive OUP participation certificates at the end of the event.
