𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫
Valentin Tătaru joined ING Romania in 2007. For ten years, he worked in the Treasury department, where he was responsible for managing the bank’s liquidity and trading on the interbank money market. During this period, he obtained the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) diploma from the Association for Financial Professionals and the ACI diploma from the Financial Markets Association.
In 2018, he joined the Economic Research department as an economist, overseeing macroeconomic analysis for Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Croatia. His forecasts were ranked among the top three for several countries and have been cited by international media. In his current role as Chief Economist, Valentin continues to focus on macroeconomic research for Romania and the wider region.
Valentin holds a degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in European Economic Studies from the Academy of Economic Studies.
