100h Vinyasa Teacher Training

This course is addressed to advanced yoga practitioners and yoga teachers who want to deepen their practice.

This first module of the 300-hour course places major emphasis on advanced Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga practice; in-depth “theming” and sequencing of class structure and design; workshops on advanced back-bending, hip opening, arm balances and inversions for your own practice and for safely teaching in class; deeper knowledge of hands-on adjustments and adjustment practice; anatomical application of asanas; comparative anatomy of different body types; tension and compression theory; yoga and injuries.

? Alignment Principles for postures grouped by Base of Support (i.e. Standing, Seated, All 4s, Hand, etc)
? Advanced Posture workshops (lotus variations and deep hip openers; arm balances and transitions; headstand variations and transitions; pincha mayurasana; handstand and scorpion; deep backbends—dropbacks and deeper variations of urdhva dhanurasana, pigeon, dancer pose, etc)

Students will practice daily dynamic, powerful Vinyasa Flow classes. Emphasis is placed on incorporating topics from workshops on advanced poses into the asana practice so students can experience the poses in their own bodies. Proper practice and spotting techniques of advanced inversions will be applied. Practice of deep backbends, lotus and hip openers, arm balances and transitions, handstand and forearm stand. These classes are intended to build intense strength in the body and to utilize existing flexibility for deeper posture variations. Students will also be acquainted with creative, intelligent sequencing and translating anatomical principles across asana families in order to arrive in deeper, more advanced posture variations.

? Breathing and respiratory system and the role of breath in asana
? Therapeutic applications of postures and working with injuries in asana class

✨Who are your teachers?✨

Rachel Berryman, USA, E-RYT500

Coming from a background of 20 years of ballet and contemporary dance training, Rachel has always been interested in working with the body and the amazing capacity our bodies have. Rachel has been practicing yoga for 12 years and teaching for 8 years. Originally from the U.S.A., she has been a main teacher in over 25 yoga teacher training courses world-wide and currently splits her time teaching yoga in India and Albania. Rachel is the co-founder, owner, and main teacher at Tirana Yoga in Tirana.
When in India, Rachel teaches with Sampoorna Yoga, a yoga teacher training school and retreat center in south India. Teaching on both 200-hour and advanced 300-hour yoga courses, she has been the main asana, anatomy, teaching methodology, and alignment teacher for 300-hour trainings as well as the overall course manager.
Rachel’s teaching style is a blend of her own experience—drawing not only from the physical practice of yoga in both its Eastern and Western forms, but also from traditional yoga philosophy and meditation techniques in order to develop an integrative, creative, fluid class that is energizing, engaging, and inspiring for all. She is a firm believer that yoga is for everyone—meeting people on their path where they are, in order to help them move forward with awareness, mindfulness, and heightened consciousness.

Nadine Sharkey, UK, E-RYT 500

Nadine decided to become a yoga teacher by accident. She undertook her 200 hour training as a way of deepening her own practice. And, to her immense surprise, she discovered that she loved teaching. A year later, she realised that she was happier for the one hour a week she taught part-time, than the 40+ hours a week she spent stretching advertising deadlines. So, one day (after a really frustrating meeting), she quit the day job and booked herself an advanced teacher training in India.
Since then, Nadine has been teaching a combination of Vinyasa, Power, Restorative and Yin classes across London, as well as teaching on both 200 and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training courses with Sampoorna Yoga, a yoga teacher training school and retreat center in south India. She aims to bring a sense of playfulness to every class – encouraging students to be curious and to challenge their minds as much as their bodies.
