On Sunday, April 26, Smag På Dig Selv hit Control, bringing one of Denmark’s most talked-about live shows into the room.

The 3-piece punkjazz machine from Freetown Christiania has been pushing the boundaries of genre with their explosive fusion of acoustic techno, raw punk energy, and 90s-inspired dance music. With two saxophones, drums, and a poetic yet activist approach, they create an intense and euphoric live experience.

Their groundbreaking sound and fierce stage presence have earned them a reputation as one of Denmark’s most compelling live acts – culminating in a Danish Music Award for “New Live Act of the Year” in 2024.

In April 2024 the band released their debut album 'SPDS' to critical acclaim. SPDS played to an audience of over 11,000 at Roskilde Festival in 2024, their concert at Store Vega sold out five months before the show and the trio is now ready to take the world by storm. 

In 2025 alone the trio has played SXSW, ESNS, The Great Escape, SummerStage NYC, Athens Jazz Festival and you might have also seen them at Gărâna Jazz Fest. 

In March 2026 SPDS will be releasing a coming-of-age album on the Danish record label Stunt.
