Since 2014 our amazing community has rallied together to raise funds to provide a great Christmas for the children of Nana’s House in Tepic. 

Nana’s House provides support, housing, love and care for children in Nayarit who have been severely abused or neglected by the very people who were trusted with their care.  In 2014, Estelle Nuebling spearheaded a campaign to give these kids a great Christmas and I have been proud to have been involved with her from the start and to keep this tradition alive in her memory. 

There is no cost to attend and some of the great kids from Nana’s House will be on hand to meet us.  In year’s past we asked people to take an angel ornament from the tree and buy Christmas gifts for the child they had chosen.  Based on logistics, we decided la few years back to raise money so that the kids could be given gift cards for them to buy their own gifts.  It was a HUGE success!  Many of the kids are teenagers and for many of them, the ability to shop for themselves is a new experience and a great step towards independence.  

We will have a 50/50 raffle and the band Group Therapy will provide fantastic entertainment starting at 5 (we may get the kids to provide us with some entertainment too!)

I look forward to seeing you on Monday December 15th at JAX at 4pm for some fun, laughter, food and drinks and to make this event a huge success to provide a great Christmas to some very amazing kids!
