The Wylye Valley Landscape Recovery Project is a pioneering Defra funded scheme to assess the feasibility of delivering ambitious river and floodplain restoration along 20km of the River Wylye, a globally rare chalk stream

The restoration techniques proposed include small scale interventions, such as woody debris berms, to wholescale river realignment and floodplain reconnection. Each restoration method has its place

Join us from 7 pm, downstairs in the Clubroom @ the Chapel, for a drink, and then hear how a Landscape Recovery Project functions, and how each restoration technique can positively impact the river

Please do consider donating £10 if you can, to enable BrueCREW to continue to host events like this. As a Charity themselves, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, have to charge an £180 speaker fee, which we have to recover before we can begin to fund our costs, such as insurance for our Riverfly monitors, and Balsam Bashing volunteers
