UMI est une chanteuse, auteure-compositrice et productrice originaire de Seattle, qui façonne une soul moderne nourrie de R&B, de folk et de neo-soul, portée par une écriture introspective et une présence apaisante.
Avec son nouvel album people stories, elle ouvre un chapitre à la fois intime et universel. Inspiré par ses proches, ses fans et ses propres expériences, le disque explore l’ego, la guérison, l’identité et le lien aux autres. Alternant ballades folk, textures R&B et spoken word, il incarne une quête d’authenticité où les imperfections deviennent un hommage à la beauté du chaos de la vie.
