- **Event Description**: The École Nationale supérieure des arts visuels de La Cambre (ENSAV), founded in 1927 by architect and interior designer Henry van de Velde, will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary. Leading up to this milestone and as part of the alumni project, a number of exhibitions are being organized to celebrate the school's centennial and highlight former graduates. The exhibition entitled Trans-Formations is a co-production of La Cambre, Les Amis de La Cambre, MAD Brussels and CID - Grand-Hornu. It highlights the concept of transversality through the work of alumni from the Industrial Design, Textile Design, Interior Architecture, Accessories and Fashion Design departments.

Transversality, a key concept of La Cambre, is the central theme of the exhibition. In an increasingly complex world, designers transcend the boundaries of their discipline. They combine craft with science, art with technology, and add marketing or even artificial intelligence to their creative process. In this exhibition, transversality is approached as a spectrum: from collaborations between disciplines to their blurring, with the aim of better understanding and shaping complex realities.

About fifteen projects show how former La Cambre students are building bridges between diverse worlds. Astrophysics merges with horology, architecture meets corsetry, and AI becomes a creative partner. These encounters lead to surprising objects, innovative processes and meaningful dialogues between man, machine and society. La Cambre thus reveals itself not only as a breeding ground for talent, but also as a space for reflection, experimentation and engagement. An exhibition that questions and shapes the future of design.
