Stuart Staples en zijn band kondigen hun terugkeer aan in het voorjaar van 2027 met een gloednieuw album en een nieuwe tour, die onder meer halt zal houden in Parijs, Londen en Berlijn, maar ook in… Antwerpen en Brussel! Gevormd in Londen in 1992, vierde Tindersticks in 2022 hun dertigjarig bestaan met het verzamelalbum ‘Past Imperfect’ en een memorabel concert in de Henry Le Bœuf-zaal. Met een subtiel repertoire dat balanceert tussen duisternis en licht, blijft de groep zich heruitvinden zonder hun eigenheid te verliezen. Als uniek collectief behouden ze altijd een vernieuwende blik, zonder enige vorm van narcisme en met een ongezien talent om melancholie te verheerlijken. Hun meest recente album is daar het perfecte voorbeeld van. Het biedt een oase van rust die troost en verlossende kalmte biedt.
Tindersticks, meesters in innerlijke verkenningen en lyrische hoogtepunten, keren volgend jaar terug naar ons land met hun vijftiende studioalbum. Dat doen ze na hun eerdere, uitverkochte passages in het Koninklijk Circus (2024) en de Koningin Elisabethzaal (2025). Formé à Londres en 1992, Tindersticks nous avait émerveillés en 2022 avec leur premier best of intitulé « Past Imperfect » et un concert parfait dans la salle Henry Le Bœuf en hommage à trente ans d’une carrière sinueuse et aux multiples facettes. Avec un répertoire subtil qui oscille entre obscurité et lumière, Tindersticks n’a de cesse de multiplier les incarnations et les identités musicales. C’est bien ce qui lui a permis de se réinventer continuellement sans jamais se renier. Groupe singulier, il a toujours gardé un regard novateur, dénué de narcissisme, avec un talent irréprochable pour magnifier la mélancolie. Leur dernier album en date en est le parfait exemple. Il nous offre ainsi un coin de tranquillité où l'on trouve une sorte de réconfort et de calme salvateur.
