Stella Donnelly a tourné sans relâche pour défendre son premier album acclamé par la critique, Beware of the Dogs. Sorti en mars 2019, l’album a reçu des éloges internationaux de médias tels que Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Billboard, The New York Times et Stereogum.
La sortie de ce disque, portée par des singles marquants comme Old Man et Tricks, a propulsé Donnelly vers de nouveaux sommets : sessions en studio pour les célèbres Tiny Desk de NPR et KEXP, et une impressionnante tournée internationale qui l’a menée à se produire à guichets fermés en Amérique du Nord et en Europe. Elle a également foulé la scène de festivals prestigieux comme Glastonbury, Roskilde, ainsi qu’une performance remarquée au Fuji Rock Festival au Japon.
Donnelly vient récemment d’achever l’enregistrement de son nouvel album avec la productrice récompensée Anna Laverty (Camp Cope, Courtney Barnett). Ce disque marque sa deuxième collaboration avec le label Secretly Canadian. Elle dévoilera son premier single en avril 2022, juste avant de partir en tournée au Royaume-Uni et en Europe avec Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever.
Artiste totalement maîtresse de sa voix, capable d’allier son charme naturel et son esprit acéré à des chansons brutes et authentiques, Donnelly écrit de façon à donner l’impression d’être installée dans son salon, à partager une tasse de thé et une part de gâteau avec vous, avant de vous confier quelques vérités difficiles à entendre.

Donnelly has recently finished recording her new album with award-winning producer Anna Laverty (Camp Cope, Courtney Barnett) The record is her second release with Secretly Canadian.
