La COP31 s'ouvre à Antalya. Nous, on ouvre le bal à Bruxelles.

Cet été, la Belgique a compté trois mille morts liés à la chaleur. Trois mille hectares des Hautes Fagnes sont partis en fumée, le plus grand incendie depuis 1911. Pendant ce temps, les décisions qui comptent se prennent à quinze cents kilomètres d'ici.

Alors on ne va pas attendre poliment.

Le 8 novembre, on se rassemble au cœur de l'Europe pour porter une seule exigence, claire et chiffrée : un calendrier contraignant de sortie des énergies fossiles, le seul moyen de rester sous les deux degrés.

Et on va le chanter. Ensemble.

Une chanson est en préparation pour l'occasion. Elle porte le nom du documentaire diffusé sur Arte. On la chantera tous ensemble, place de l'Albertine.

Deze zomer telde België drieduizend hittegerelateerde doden. Drieduizend hectare Hoge Venen ging in vlammen op, de grootste brand sinds 1911. Ondertussen worden de beslissingen die ertoe doen op vijftienhonderd kilometer van hier genomen.

We gaan dus niet beleefd wachten.

Op 8 november komen we samen in het hart van Europa met één heldere, becijferde eis : een bindend tijdpad voor de uitstap uit fossiele brandstoffen, de enige manier om onder twee graden te blijven.

En we gaan het zingen. Samen.

Er wordt een lied klaargemaakt voor de gelegenheid. Het draagt de naam van de documentaire op Arte. We zingen het samen op het Albertinaplein.

This summer, Belgium recorded three thousand heat related deaths. Three thousand hectares of the Hautes Fagnes burned to the ground, the largest fire since 1911. Meantime, the decisions that matter are being made fifteen hundred kilometres away.

So we're not going to wait politely.

On 8 November, we gather in the heart of Europe with one clear, measurable demand : a binding timeline to phase out fossil fuels, the only way to stay below two degrees.

And we're going to sing it. Together.

A song is being written for the occasion. It carries the name of the documentary now showing on Arte. We'll sing it together on Place de l'Albertine.
