Pomplamoose est un duo indie-pop formé par Jack Conte et Nataly Dawn, actif depuis 2008 et reconnu pour avoir ouvert les coulisses de la création musicale à travers une esthétique DIY devenue emblématique. Vidéos en split-screen, sessions enregistrées en studio et transparence du processus de production constituent la signature d’un projet qui a influencé toute une génération d’artistes indépendants.

Depuis plusieurs années, Pomplamoose développe Photogénique, un album bossa-pop en français aux accents luxurieux et groovy, nourri de souvenirs d’enfance entre la France et la Belgique. Produit par Jeremy Most, Jack Conte et Philip Etherington, le disque explore une narration à la fois romantique, ludique et profondément nostalgique.

Le projet réunit également des collaborations avec le pianiste et organiste Larry Goldings et la chanteuse Laura Cahen, renforçant son ancrage entre jazz, pop et chanson. Sorti en 2025, Photogénique a été présenté à Los Angeles et à Paris lors de concerts complets, avant une édition deluxe prévue en 2026 accompagnée d’une tournée aux États-Unis et en Europe.

Pomplamoose is een indiepopduo, opgericht door Jack Conte en Nataly Dawn, dat sinds 2008 actief is en bekend staat om het feit dat het een kijkje achter de schermen van het muziekmaken biedt via een inmiddels iconische DIY-esthetiek. Video’s met split-screen, in de studio opgenomen sessies en openheid over het productieproces vormen het kenmerk van een project dat een hele generatie onafhankelijke artiesten heeft beïnvloed. Al enkele jaren werkte Pomplamoose aan 'Photogénique', een Franstalig bossa-popalbum met weelderige en groovy accenten, geïnspireerd door jeugdherinneringen uit Frankrijk en België.

Het album, geproduceerd door Jeremy Most, Jack Conte en Philip Etherington, verkent een verhaal dat tegelijkertijd romantisch, speels en diep nostalgisch is. Het project omvat ook samenwerkingen met pianist en organist Larry Goldings en zangeres Laura Cahen, wat de verankering tussen jazz, pop en chanson nog versterkt. 'Photogénique', dat in 2025 verscheen, werd in Los Angeles en Parijs gepresenteerd tijdens uitverkochte concerten, voorafgaand aan een deluxe-editie die voor 2026 op het programma staat, vergezeld van een tournee door de VS en Europa.
