The trumpeter brought a clear line, controlled lyricism and a mastery of composition; the baritone saxophonist provided the biting retort, the harsh yet precise tone that earned him the nickname ‘The Knife’ — a dialogue of temperaments that produced some of the genre’s most intense moments. Wouter Van den Broeck shares with this repertoire a refusal to become set in his ways. A curious and exacting musician, he has forged his own path through Mathieu Najean’s quartet, his collective Jake Walker, the modern jazz quintet Don Marsh and, of course, the house band at Toots. At the piano, he remains an improviser attentive to the moment. Trained also in the classical repertoire, he tackles here a repertoire that is rarely heard. 👥 Wouter Van den Broeck (piano) ; Seba Colson (trumpet) ; Bruno Vansina (baritone sax) ; Victor Foulon (upright bass) ; Matthias De Waele (drums) 📍 Toots Jazz Club, Rue des Chapeliers 6, 1000 Bruxelles 🎟 Tarif unique 13 € — billets / tickets : https://toots.brussels/en/concert/14885/nostalgia-in-grand-place-wouter-van-den-broeck-plays-pepper-adams-and-donald-byrd #TootsJazzClub #Brussels #Jazz #LiveMusic #BrusselsJazz #HardBop - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/brussels/nostalgia-in-grand-place-wouter-van-den-broeck-plays-pepper-adams-and-donald-byrd-toots-jazz-club/200030815392135 - **Event Categories**: Music, Entertainment, Concerts, Workshops, science-fair - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 ## Ticket Details ## Event venue details - **city**: Brussels - **state**: BU - **country**: Belgium - **location**: Rue des Chapeliers, 6 , 1000 Brussels, Belgium - **lat**: 50.84608 - **long**: 4.35289 - **full address**: Rue des Chapeliers, 6 , 1000 Brussels, Belgium, Hoedenmakersstraat 6, 1000 Brussel, België, Brussels, Belgium ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Nostalgia In Grand-Place : Wouter Van den Broeck plays Pepper Adams & Donald Byrd — Toots Jazz Club - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/11023a679af9ab86f11a5fdaab2dbeb105109d7a939e5bace38c2006413792cb-rimg-w1200-h762-dcc8c8c8-gmir?v=1791615152 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Nostalgia In Grand-Place : Wouter Van den Broeck plays Pepper Adams & Donald Byrd — Toots Jazz Club being held? - **A:** Nostalgia In Grand-Place : Wouter Van den Broeck plays Pepper Adams & Donald Byrd — Toots Jazz Club takes place on Sun, 25 Oct, 2026 at 04:00 pm to Sun, 25 Oct, 2026 at 06:30 pm at Rue des Chapeliers, 6 , 1000 Brussels, Belgium, Hoedenmakersstraat 6, 1000 Brussel, Belgie, Brussels, Belgium. - **Q**: Who is organizing Nostalgia In Grand-Place : Wouter Van den Broeck plays Pepper Adams & Donald Byrd — Toots Jazz Club? - **A:** Nostalgia In Grand-Place : Wouter Van den Broeck plays Pepper Adams & Donald Byrd — Toots Jazz Club is organized by Toots Jazz Club. ## Structured Data (JSON-LD) ```json [ { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "Event", "name": "Nostalgia In Grand-Place : Wouter Van den Broeck plays Pepper Adams & Donald Byrd — Toots Jazz Club", "image": "https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/11023a679af9ab86f11a5fdaab2dbeb105109d7a939e5bace38c2006413792cb-rimg-w1200-h762-dcc8c8c8-gmir?v=1791615152", "startDate": "2026-10-25T16:00:00+01:00", "endDate": "2026-10-25T18:30:00+01:00", "url": "https://allevents.in/brussels/nostalgia-in-grand-place-wouter-van-den-broeck-plays-pepper-adams-and-donald-byrd-toots-jazz-club/200030815392135", "eventStatus": "https://schema.org/EventScheduled", "location": { "@type": "Place", "name": "Rue des Chapeliers, 6 , 1000 Brussels, Belgium", "address": { "@type": "PostalAddress", "streetAddress": "Hoedenmakersstraat 6, 1000 Brussel, Belgie", "addressLocality": "Brussels", "addressRegion": "BU", "addressCountry": "BE" }, "geo": { "@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": "50.84608", "longitude": "4.35289" } }, "eventAttendanceMode": "https://schema.org/OfflineEventAttendanceMode", "description": "🎷 Nostalgia In Grand-Place : Wouter Van den Broeck plays Pepper Adams and Donald Byrd — dimanche 25 octobre, 16:00\n\nDonald Byrd and Pepper Adams formed one of the most complementary duos of their generation, producing several albums that have become milestones in the history of hard bop.
