Solvej Balle is one of Denmark’s most acclaimed contemporary writers. The latest chapter of her groundbreaking seven-volume novel On the Calculation of Volume* was recently shortlisted for the International Booker Prize. The story follows a woman caught in a single day that repeats endlessly, offering a profound meditation on existence and resistance to linear time.
