Jehnny Beth first came to prominence as the compelling frontwoman of Savages, theMercury Prize–nominated post-punk band known for its live performances and starklyricism. Her acclaimed solo debutTo Love Is To Live(2020) expanded that vision—bold,cinematic, and emotionally charged. Since then, she has multiplied collaborations (Idles,Gorillaz, Sextile, Bobby Gillespie...)while simultaneously continuing her career in actingwith standout performances in Audiard’sParis, 13th District, and Triet’s Palme d’Or andOscar-winningAnatomy of a Fall. In 2020, she created the TV series ECHOES to spotlightemerging artists like Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C., and Kneecap.
In 2022, she returned to thestage with IDLES, toured with Depeche Mode in Europe, and joined Queens of the StoneAge across the U.S., where performing at hardcore and metal festivals sparked a newcreative fire. Reuniting in France with longtime creative partner Johnny Hostile—just offtour with Nick Cave & Warren Ellis—she began shaping the forthcoming,You Heartbreaker,You—a cathartic, radical album born of urgency, joy, and rebellion. Post-punk, cinematografische rock en experimentele pop: Jehnny Beth maakte eerst naam als de magnetische frontvrouw van Savages, een iconische band die met zijn intense liveoptredens en poëtische duisternis indruk maakte op de internationale scene. Met haar eerste soloalbum, ‘To Love Is To Live’ (2020), verbreedde ze haar spectrum: een gedurfd, veelzijdig en diepgaand werk. Sindsdien werkt de artieste aan tal van samenwerkingen (Idles, Gorillaz, Sextile, Bobby Gillespie, …) en zet ze haar opmerkelijke acteercarrière voort. In 2020 creëert ze de serie ECHOES, waarin ze talenten als Wet Leg, Fontaines D.C. en Kneecap onthult.
Terug op het podium met IDLES, op tournee met Depeche Mode in Europa en vervolgens met Queens of the Stone Age in de VS, vindt Jehnny in de furie van het live optreden een nieuwe creatieve vonk. Voor haar concert in de Botanique werkt ze samen met haar trouwe medewerker Johnny Hostile om ‘You Heartbreaker, You’ te maken: een cathartisch, urgent en rebels album. Gedragen door instinctieve teksten, een woeste stem en een compromisloze productie, transformeert dit nieuwe hoofdstuk chaos in sonore bevrijding – een viscerale ruimte om te schreeuwen, te ademen en je volledig levend te voelen in een wereld die op het punt staat te breken.
