***Flora (DE) indi psychedelic pop ***
The Stuttgart band Flora sounds as if they've been catapulted straight from the indie scene of the late 80s, with labels like Sarah Records, into the here and now. The quartet, fronted by the eponymous singer Flora, practically throws around flawless pop songs. Their 2023 EP, Time Stops, already featured melodies that instantly burned themselves into the memories of receptive listeners with sleepwalking precision. Around 30 years ago, bands like The Ladybug Transistor and Camera Obscura were already working on a similarly disarming pop formula. In spring 2026, Flora's debut album, Five Years (Treibender Teppich Records), will be released, on which they – following this tradition – further refine the perfect pop song.
Flora Lenzmann, originally from Stuttgart and now living in Hamburg, has been writing songs incessantly since her teenage years. Almost three years ago, this evolved into a studio project with Moritz Finkbeiner (Monsieur Mo Rio, Metabolismus, Fabre, and many more). Within a short time, numerous recordings were produced, leading to the formation of a live band and a record release. Her songs are absolutely compelling, distilling the best of 60 years of pop culture with irresistible melodies and the charm of imperfection. Her delivery is soft, almost shy, yet full of passion and energy. The band consists of Flora - songs, vocals, guitar; Moritz - bass, vocals; Kristina - keyboards, percussion; and Yun - drums. Their first album is in production and nearly finished. The EP "Time Stops" was released in mid-September on Treibender Teppich Records.

***Garance Midi (BE) bedroom pop*****
Garance Giang Vo a la volonté d'écrire des textes intimes et personnels, tout en gardant un langage dépouillé et accessible. Après un premier EP en 2021 sous le nom Garance Midi, le groupe, fraîchement formé autour de la jeune autrice-compositrice-interprète, prend goût à cette synergie et les premières chansons de « Dans la Maison » pointent le bout de leur nez. Ces nouvelles mélodies bedroom pop en français trouveront refuge sur un album (29 mars 2024, Humpty Dumpty Records) délicat et dansant, mêlant l'insouciance à des émotions profondes. Cette bâtisse sonore DIY est faite de nombreuses couches instrumentales et abrite aussi toute une bande de copain·x·e·s
