The focus this year will be on card weaving, an ancient technique for creating colorful, patterned, and extremely durable ribbons. The sessions will start with the simplest methods and progress toward intricate patterns and more sophisticated ribbons. The tools used are uniquely designed and modernized to meet today’s needs, allowing participants to create aesthetically pleasing woven items using traditional techniques with a contemporary twist.
In today’s fast-paced world, fewer people take the time to engage in crafts, as traditional techniques are rarely passed down from parents or grandparents. However, crafting remains essential as:
▪ it reduces stress and anxiety.
▪ it fosters creativity.
▪ it improves fine motor skills and concentration.
▪ it teaches self-discipline.
▪ it provides an inspiring, community-driven experience.
