On Saturday 13th December, we welcome two friends who share much more than a touring routine: S.O.N.S and Ekkel!
They release on each other’s labels, support each other’s ideas, and have been shaping a sound together for years. Side by side, they carry this new techno–trancy–mystic wave we love so deeply at Blur.
S.O.N.S, the Frenchman now based in Korea and the flawless mind behind Junction Forest, joins us with his Nordic partner in crime, Ekkel, also known for his Alvar project (his new album just dropped, go listen while you get ready on Saturday). Both are phenomenal DJs, each with a sensitivity that turns dancefloors into wide-open landscapes.
We discovered S.O.N.S last summer during a Circle Park afterparty, and to put it simply: very few DJs reach that level of depth, control, and intention behind the decks. Expect serious dancefloor storytelling: long arcs, sharp curves, weightless zones, and that feeling of stepping into something larger than yourself. Add Blur’s sound system to the mix and you already know: this one will be cosmic.
Opening the journey is our dear resident Nikita, who has never hidden his love for their music. And that’s exactly what we aim for at Blur: bringing together people who truly admire each other, because you can feel that respect through the music.
Upstairs in the Studio, a similar kind of magic unfolds. Two long-time friends take over the entire night for an all-night-long b2b. They’ve played together before, of course, but stretching a set across the whole night always creates an extra dimension, especially when it’s two people who challenge and elevate each other.
That’s where unforgettable moments are born. Exactly the kind of night BLUR aims for.
