This evocative program invites you into two extraordinary sound worlds—one unfinished, the other timeless.

Begin with Arnold Schönberg’s Ein Stelldichein (A Rendezvous), a rarely heard early work shimmering with late-Romantic color and mystery. Though incomplete, it offers a tantalizing glimpse into the young composer’s expressive voice.

Then, journey into the transcendent with Olivier Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, written during his imprisonment in a WWII camp. Scored for an unusual ensemble of piano, clarinet, violin, and cello, this masterpiece is a meditation on eternity, faith, and the resilience of the human spirit.
