Do you love eating cake, drinking tea and hanging out with trans people? We’re bringing folks from transgender, gender diverse and non-binary communities across Victoria together for The Great Trans Cake-Off, sponsored by VicHealth and supported by Merri-bek City Council.
This all-ages, indoor event is a day to connect with other trans folks, allies, and families.
How to participate:
1. Bake Your Cake: Pick a category (see below), bake your cake and decorate to your heart’s content.
2. Drop Off Your Cake (11:30AM - 1PM): All cakes must arrive between 11:30AM and 1PM at the latest, clearly labelled with dietary and allergen information.
3. Tasting & Public Voting (2PM - 3PM): Come back at 1:45PM ready to begin tasting and voting on the People’s Choice. We’ll also have copious amount of tea and coffee available.
4. People’s Choice Winner Announced (3:30PM): We’ll be crowning the winner of the People’s Choice award at 3:30 - don’t waste your vote!
The rest of the afternoon we’ll enjoy the rest of the sweet treats, mingling with friends, and activities for all ages.
