Subject: Get Test-Ready with Confidence – May 17th Yankee Chapter Test Prep Workshop!
Ready to head into test season feeling confident, prepared, and in control? This Workshop is a hands on, real-world look at what you should, and shouldn’t be doing on test day.
This is not about tricks or “beating the system.” It’s about practical, effective handling strategies that help you and your dog succeed at every level of testing.
We’ll cover:
Natural Ability (Morning Session)
Gun Dog & Utility (Afternoon Session)
Each session runs approximately three hours with a lunch break in between. Attend one session or stay for the full day!
What Makes This Workshop Special?
• Led by experienced Yankee Chapter members who are NAVHDA judges and professional trainers
• Moderated by Nancy Anisfield
• Live demonstrations with two handlers and their dogs
• Real-time discussion of handling decisions, options, and judge expectations
This is a people clinic, not a dog clinic.
You will gain clarity and confidence without the pressure of working your own dog. Watch, learn, ask questions, and leave with a stronger understanding of what to do when it matters most.
Cost
• Free for Yankee Members
• Non-members: $10 (which can be applied toward a Yankee Chapter membership)
There’s no limit on participants, so invite a friend who may be thinking about testing this year.
What to Bring
• Something to sit on
• Lunch and beverages if attending the full day
Whether you’re preparing for your first Natural Ability test or polishing skills for Utility, this workshop will give you actionable insights you can use immediately.
