Handel’s Messiah: A Season of Peace and Goodwill
Begin your Christmas season with one of the loveliest gatherings our community knows. Each year, Handel’s Messiah returns like an old friend—steady, familiar, and somehow new again—inviting us into a season of peace on Earth, goodwill toward all, and the quiet assurance of Emmanuel: God With Us.
From the gentle urging of “Comfort Ye” to the great, rising swell of the “Hallelujah” Chorus, the music moves with a kind of winter-morning clarity—opening the heart, lifting the spirit, and reminding us of things we are prone to forget in the hurry of life.
This festive evening brings together chorus, soloists, and chamber orchestra, with William Ness, continuo organist, and Doris Krueger, conductor, joined by Aileen Nova-Yingst, soprano, Michelle Lee Williams, alto, Bradley Krueger, tenor, and Robert Mills, bass-baritone.
There is no admission charge—all are welcome.
Come and be carried for a while by this music—its power, its grace, its long-held promise.
Let the voice of Handel's Messiah—crying in the wilderness—prepare ye for the true message of the season.
We look forward to sharing this treasured tradition with you.
