When you step onto the court for the Mental Health Matters to ME Pickleball Tournament, you’re doing more than playing a game— you’re becoming part of something bigger. This 2nd Annual event is in memory of Derek Ramsay, who lost his life to mental illness and substance use disorder. Derek’s story is one of love and loss, but also of resilience, hope, and the power of community.
By registering, you’re helping to ensure that no one in Maine faces their mental health struggles alone. Every serve, every rally, every laugh shared on the court sends a powerful message: mental health IS health, and together, we can break the silence and stigma.
This isn’t just about pickleball. It’s about community and connection and celebrating how pickleball is great for our own mental health.
Join us. Play with purpose. Stand with us in memory of Derek and in support of every person who deserves hope, healing, and connection.
All net proceeds of this event will be donated to NAMI Maine and Shalom House.
