LIFE DRAWING & WRITING SESSION ~ a breathing body in space and time

Welcome to Life Drawing and Writing presented by Eleanor Ysabelle!

Join us at Shell Space for a tender, creative gathering designed to hold space, trust, and presence. This is a women-only event to foster a gentle, caring, and culturally conscious environment.

We acknowledge this event takes place on Wurundjeri Country of the Kulin Nation. We honour the deep ancestral relationship they hold with this land. We recognise the impact land has on us; the place we are in as we read this, the impact we have on land and the responsibility we hold in how we move upon it.

A spacious, thoughtful session facilitated by Eleanor Ysabelle artist and therapist : blending creative and embodied practice.

The afternoon includes:

• A gentle drawing warm-up to land your attention
• A guided meditation to settle the body and open the senses
• Life drawing with Rhiannon, modelling for the first time as a practice of trust and connection worh her body in space.
• A shift midway through the session as Rhiannon is adorned with plant assemblages created by Eleanor
• The freedom to draw or write, or move intuitively between both

This session welcomes novel life drawers, returning artists, and anyone curious about drawing the human form in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Our shared experiment:
to capture the presence of a breathing body suspended in space and time.

• Paper, drawing boards, charcoal, pencils (feel free to bring your own)
• Bread, butter, olive oil & water
• Light snacks
