LUCY is the long anticipated sequel to the internationally acclaimed ballad opera SÁGA, which was created in 2011 when Dez Mona and B.O.X made a pact to merge innovative pop music with a baroque approach to sound and orchestration.
LUCY holds the middle ground between concert and spectacle, pop and baroque. Through lyrics and music, layered images, tactile fabrics and beguiling voices, LUCY sets out in search of the meaning of homecoming in a fragmented world.
LUCY is a musical narration in different shapes, tones and colours. It has all the narrative and musical ingredients of an oratorio - arias, recitatives, instrumental pieces, chorales – but is secular and free of moralising; equally ‘at home’ in churches, theatres and temples of music.
