- **Event Description**: As part of our Civic Season events, ABHM will host a Book Club and Book Swap in collaboration with the Milwaukee Public Library on June 22nd from 5 to 7:30 PM. 

Before the book club discussion, there will be an open community dialogue facilitated by MPL and ABHM on the 250th anniversary of the United States. Then, from 6 to 7 PM, we will discuss "Thomas Jefferson & Sally Hemings: An American Controversy by Annette Gordon-Reed." Participants are encouraged to read the book in advance. Finally, from 7 to 7:30 PM, there will be a community book swap. Bring a book to pass along to a new reader in exchange for a different book.
