Silat Fitrah is a traditional martial art that originates from Malaysia. The simple, principle based syllabus incorporates groundwork, footwork, striking, kicking, takedowns, the use of a variety of weapons and tairi - a free-flowing, martial dance.  The art can be practised in a gentle manner, with an emphasis on physical and emotional well-being, and in a dynamic, aggressive way more suited to physical self-defence.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to the core elements of the system and the principles that underpin the art. 

Training will include:
Solo practice, learning short forms to build structure, balance, and fluidity
Pad work to develop accuracy, timing, and control
Partner drills to explore distance, awareness, and responsiveness.

The session is open to all ages and levels of ability, with no prior experience required. It is an ideal introduction for anyone curious about the art and a great opportunity for those considering joining the regular Silat Fitrah classes.
