Join Anna for a full-day Indian block printing workshop offering time to slow down and fully immerse yourself in this traditional craft. Guided step by step, you’ll explore the foundations of Indian block printing, working with hand-carved wooden blocks and a wide range of wonderful colours.
Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, the workshop balances clear guidance with creative freedom. Your day will begin with a warm welcome and a chance to explore the beautiful designs. Next, you will have a detailed demonstration of block printing techniques and equipment to ensure you are ready.
You will have plenty of practise time before moving onto printing stationery items such as cards and tags before selecting your fabric items. Anna will be on hand to help and advise on patterns, colours and designs before helping you heat set your items. \
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with finished hand-printed textiles and a deeper understanding of Indian block printing, its techniques, and its timeless appeal.
