World Sake Day NYC returns for its 5th year, celebrating Japan’s national beverage with New Yorkers!Held every October, this festival honors the beginning of the sake brewing season in Japan and showcases Japanese culture, craftsmanship, and connection through sake.

About WORLD SAKE DAY NYC

World Sake Day NYC was founded by Mika Furuya in 2021, with the first event held at her venue, MIKA Bar in Bushwick, in partnership with Shinobu Kato of Kato Sake Works. The first edition featured 12 sakes from four companies: Kato Sake Works, Gosakeman, Kubota, and Skurnik Wines, drawing over 300 attendees. Since then, the event has grown steadily in both size and impact., the debut event welcomed over 300 guests.

Now in its fifth year, the event has grown to showcase 70+ sakes from 40 breweries across Japan and the U.S.

Its mission is to celebrate and promote Japanese craft sake by connecting guests directly with the brewers behind it — sharing the culture, people, and passion that make sake unique.

Premier NYC Venue:Our setting could not be more perfect – just for you we have secured a premier space right on Union Square, ensuring a backdrop that's as vibrant as the event itself.But hold on, there's more to come! Our menu may surprise you, and we've got additional surprises up our sleeves.

All ticket sales are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your ticket to a friend.

If the event is postponed, rescheduled, or relocated, your ticket will remain valid for the new date or venue—no action is needed.In such cases, ticket holders will be notified by email with any available refund options, if applicable.

A valid ID is required at check-in.Guests aged 21 and over will receive a wristband, which must be worn throughout the event.Alcoholic beverages will only be served to guests wearing the official wristband.
