Women's History Month Coding Workshop
Join Repair the World at Digital Girl's Women's History Month coding workshop!
Digital Girl's mission is to encourage inner city youth, especially girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. They are motivated by the overall lag in the United States in producing an adequate number of STEM professionals as well as the under representation of women and people of color in STEM fields. Through early application, hands on training, mentorship, tutoring and social events Digital Girl will boost confidence, raise self esteem and STEM career awareness in less fortunate areas to create professionals who can be positive contributors to society.
Volunteers will support professional coders by helping the kids stay focused, energized, and excited. This is an introduction to block coding so nobody (volunteers or kids) needs to have any experience. We'll all be learning together!
