Yoga mats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.The Art of Birdwatching with Join us for an hour long beginners birding workshop with Indigo Goodson-Fields. We will bird the Weeksville Center grounds while discussing and identifying backyard birds and migratory species. Indigo will discuss the community of Black birders, the importance of birding and our impact on larger birding culture. The route includes some paved paths, gravel, grass and slight inclines. The route is approximately 2 acres and there will be opportunities to rest and bathroom access. The route is amenable based on need.3:30pm | Designing Identity: Jewelry, Culture & Storytelling with Join Jam+Rico founder Lisette Scott for a hands-on jewelry-making workshop inspired by the Caribbean and African Diaspora. Explore how adornment can carry culture, memory, and personal meaning, then create your own necklace or bracelet using beads, charms, and natural materials.No experience needed.
